In order to be a better writer, you sometimes need help–a writing coach, an editor, a writer’s group, a friend, a family member, etc. And sometimes that help comes in the form of a blog (such as this one) or one of my favorite blogs, Daily Writing Tips.
Daily Writing Tips is a blog with simple, yet effective ways to improve your writing. If you subscribe by e-mail (or RSS feed), everyday you’ll receive a new writing tip.
And it’s not just a one-sentence tip, it’s an entire blog post with lots of good information for improving your writing. Sometimes it’s freelance advice, sometimes it’s creative writing advice, sometimes it’s a vocab lesson and sometimes it’s advice about writing in general, such as the post from today: Five Reasons Why Blogging Improves Your Writing, which prompted me to write this post.
If you’re interested in receiving daily writing tips, check out their site. And if you need motivation and inspiration to keep writing, be sure and check back here often.

Thanks for the link. I just started a blog and agree with a lot of the tips. Writing some posts actually got my creative juices going again and I was able to get a lot of the outline and details figured out for my book.
that’s really great, 80s queen! Writing this blog has really helped me get my creativity flowing and has also helped me find my “voice” as a writer.
