Today is a very special day. Procrastinating Writers is 1 year old! That’s right, procrastinators, I did it! That means it IS possible, and that also means YOU can do it too. After setting aside writing projects for years, half-finishing things and never sticking with anything for too long, I have managed to write and maintain this blog for an entire year. A whole year!
Procrastination can be a huge problem, but it’s not an unsolvable one. If you truly want to write, you need to sit down and you need to write. Don’t let anything stand in your way, especially procrastination. Throughout the last year, I have given you tips and tricks to help motivate you to finish (or start) those creative writing projects you’ve put off for so long.
For those of you who just started reading this blog, welcome! I’m so happy to have you join me and procrastinating writers all over the world as we continue our journey to find ways to stop procrastinating.
In case you missed them, here are some posts from the last year that have great writing tips and information:
- Writing Tips That Will Save You Time
- 3 Tools You Need to Write a Novel
- Take a Break Every Now and Then
- Practice Makes Perfect
- Set a Specific Writing Time to Avoid Procrastination
- Never Give Up on Your Writing Dreams
- Do What Works for You
So…how did you do? Was the year as productive for you as it was for me?
Over the next year, I will continue to look at procrastination–why people do it, how to overcome it, as well as give you additional writing information and resources.
Also, to go along with this blog, in a few months I’ll be launching ProcrastinatingWriters.com, a site that will have articles, downloadable writing tools and resources to help you overcome your procrastination and get your writing done.
Stick with it procrastinators, you WILL reach your writing dreams!
And thanks for reading…I appreciate having people to share all my writing knowledge with. -jb
