If we began to observe things around us and read frequenly enough, then we can feel the urge to write. Mixing with people and being a newsmonger can pep up a writer’s spirit and can make his/her writings more contemporary and relevant. A writer needs to connect with his readers in as many possible ways.

I totally agree! The only way to do anything, including write, is to do it confidently, believe in yourself, and most importantly keep on doing it! I think every writer struggles with doubts, especially at times when everything is getting rejected, but you can’t let those doubts turn into pity parties or the work will suffer. Writing must be approached like any job that you are passionate about. You can’t think of it as a hobby or something you do in your “spare time.” It’s work!

I like Bond’s advice to “get tough!” Write stuff, submit it, take rejection and criticism well but not to heart, and then write some more.

Great post! Just the bit of motivation I needed this afternoon.
