Would it be possible to have these videos transcribed for those of us who cannot hear?

@Geri Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll work on getting a transcript for all my video posts.

Hi Jen
Great analogy – ‘you can get from where you live to 1500 miles away, just by seeing fifty feet in front of you.’
There is another aspect of the analogy that applies to writing too – that of the ending. Think of 1500 miles away as the ending of the book. So whichever direction you drive in, as long as you end up at that point, your story will end satisfactorily.
At some point on the journey you might change your mind and select a new destination. That’s the new, improved ending.
However, as with my last project (now on the back burner) neither my route nor my destination was clear to me. I’m a self-confessed ‘seat-of-the-pants’ writer. I meandered with only a vague idea of where I was headed. Result: 234,000 words and no clear ending in sight after 3 1/2 years.
So, enjoy that journey, as long as you have an idea of your destination.
Write on.
